GREENCITIES – URBAN INTELLIGENCE AND SUSTAINABILITY
The Forum has brought together more than 2,500 professional visitors, who had the opportunity to connect with over 200 companies and entities represented, as well as more than fifty cities. The entrepreneurial project Mothium was awarded as the winner of the ‘III Open Call for Startups’—a business initiative focused on urban mobility with state-of-the-art lightweight electric vehicles. Additionally, the 2024 edition marked the first-ever celebration of the ‘Smart City Awards,’ which feature two participation categories based on municipality size. In the category for municipalities with between 5,000 and 50,000 inhabitants, Ermua won for its drOp project, aimed at transforming social housing districts into smart and inclusive neighborhoods. Meanwhile, in the category for municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, the award went to Valencia for its ongoing digital transformation and consolidation efforts.
