Malaga, 24th March 2025. – Greencities, Urban Intelligence & Smart Mobilit, Spain’s flagship event on urban intelligence and sustainability, returns on 1–2 October 2025 at FYCMA (Malaga Trade Fairs and Congress Centre) with a renewed approach and a strengthened position in comprehensive territorial management. This year, the event unveils a new visual identity and an expanded structure, reinforcing its status as the foremost business, networking, and knowledge ecosystem in the sector.
In this edition, Greencities strengthens its role as a key platform connecting territories, administrations, and businesses by integrating mobility as a central pillar through the S-Moving Arena forum. This addition complements the specialised spaces Urban Arena and Sustainability Arena. This evolution reflects its commitment to innovation and its role as a catalyst for transformative projects aimed at sustainable territorial development and fostering business opportunities.
A key event for cities and territories
Greencities has established itself as the must-attend meeting point for public officials, global organisations, and technology companies working towards more sustainable, digital, and liveable cities and municipalities. Over two days, the event will generate business opportunities and strategic synergies for efficient territorial planning within a new urban paradigm.
The event will feature the participation of municipal technicians, mayors, and institutional representatives, along with the support of city networks such as Innpulso and RECI (Spanish Network of Smart Cities), further reinforcing its role as the epicentre of the smart city ecosystem in Spain.
Content and spaces for innovation and debate
Greencities 2025 will present a structured programme focused on three key areas of discussion and knowledge exchange. Urban Arena will serve as a space for innovation in city management, urban policies, digitalisation, and pioneering projects. Sustainability Arena will focus on decarbonisation, energy, circular and blue economy, efficient water management, and green spaces. Meanwhile, S-Moving Arena will specialise in smart, connected, and sustainable mobility with an emphasis on innovative infrastructure.
Additionally, Greencities’ exhibition area will feature the ‘Green Plaza’ as its central hub, providing a dynamic environment for showcasing innovative urban solutions. The programme will include urban technician meetings and an exclusive programme for mayors to promote the exchange of experiences and best practices in territorial management.
One of the major highlights of Greencities 2025 will be the fourth edition of the ‘Open Call for Start-ups’, an initiative that gathers start-ups offering disruptive solutions for territorial management and improving the quality of life in municipalities of all sizes.
This year, Greencities debuts a new brand identity while strengthening its identity as a leading event in urban planning and digitalisation by integrating mobility transversally through S-Moving Arena. This evolution underscores its commitment to innovation and its role as a catalyst for transformative projects aimed at sustainable territorial development.
