Who can participate?
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Be a national municipality
- Complete the form correctly
- The project or initiative must be implemented or in progress
- Active participation in the Networking Agenda mode at Greencities 2025
Categories
THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES ARE REQUIRED:
- Municipalities up to 5.000 inhabitants.
- Municipalities with a population between 5.000 and 50.000.
- Municipalities with more than 50.000 inhabitants.
Dates to consider:
KEY DATES:
- Submission of applications: until September 5th, 2025 at 23:59h.
- Evaluation: from September 8th to September 15th, 2025.
- Notification of selected proposals: from September 17th, 2025.
- Deadline to confirm participation in the event: by September 22nd, 2025.
Selection criteria
The evaluation committee will consider the following criteria for the pre-selection of candidates:
- Awards, certifications, previous participation in sustainability calls.
- Training activities related to sustainability
- Actions leading to real energy savings, including renewable energy use.
- Waste management and recycling (recycling rate, composting, etc.)
- Availability of electric vehicle charging points
- Biodiversity protection and habitat conservation
- Access to and quality of urban green spaces (m² per inhabitant)
- Sustainable water management (reuse, consumption reduction )
- Promotion public transport
- Infrastructure for active mobility (bicycle lanes, pedestrian areas)
- Other notable measures
